The Fall-Winter 2024 Collection by N21, directed by Alessandro Dell’Acqua, is all about “Anarchical Glamour,” a take on bourgeois chic that seeks to dismantle its archaic connotations while preserving its elegance. This collection merges 1980s haute couture with modern anarchy, creating a juxtaposition of glamorous cocktail dresses and practical wool bouclé suits, redefined with raw edges, unconventional cuts, and innovative fabric techniques. Dell’Acqua’s approach to deconstructing bon ton through a mix of traditional craftsmanship and unexpected details give it a sense of nihilist eroticism and freedom.
Garments such as open-panel skirts and dresses, marabou sweaters, and neoprene-coated dresses show a departure from traditional design, aiming to provoke and question the norms of fashion, as welll as the use of detailed beading, open cuts, and a mix of textures.
Accessories within the collection also align with its theme, combining feminine and masculine elements with detachable crystal beading and innovative designs. Shoes and bags, ranging from crystal-beaded slingbacks to the reimagined “Malibu” and “Jeanne” bags, also bring out the rebellious theme of the collection.
