The Roberto Cavalli brand, under the creative direction of Fausto Puglisi, has introduced its Fall Winter 2024 collection, “MARBLEOUS,” centered around marvel, which have told the stories of civilizations through art and architecture, and the contemporary woman’s dynamic capacity for metamorphosis, evolution, and change. Cavalli’s iconic animal print undergoes a transformation inspired by the veins of Grand Antique marbles—synonymous with the opulent villas of historic Pompeii. These designs can be seen on ultra-light, oversized puffer jackets and marbled patent leather day bags.
The collection doesn’t shy away from baroque opulence, as seen in the incorporation of Portoro marble, with veins of yellow gold. This luxurious marble is reimagined into a sinuous devoré velvet skirt, designed to pair with a black leather blouse or one adorned with inlaid polychrome marble prints. Additionally, the line introduces a stretch pencil dress in devoré fabric, available in burgundy of Rubané marble or the emerald tones of Irish Green, complemented by chenille motifs on black tulle.
The MARBLEOUS collection extends its approach to accessories, where marble and gold-tone metals are applied on buttons and jewelry. The Roar Bag is redesigned with a marble-effect reptile finish, alongside high-heeled boots and flat shoes named “Pettegole.”
Highlighting the collection are two couture creations, look 17, a mini dress with a trapeze silhouette, crafted in black velvet and silk twill, features a Marble print in stark black and white, decorated with jewel straps, black leather, velvet inlays, micro embroidery, and crystal details, as well as, look 23 with a V neckline and a 3D effect Marble jacquard upper part, coupled with a skirt in Red Marble print silk twill. This look is distinguished by cut-out details, red velvet, and leather inlays, along with micro embroidery.
