Serapian Fall Winter 2024 collection represents a journey from Milan to Tokyo, marking a significant moment in the luxury brand’s history with the opening of a flagship store in Japan’s capital. The new store, designed to mirror an Italian villa amidst the urban landscape of Ginza, showcases Milanese artistry through painted walls, mosaics, and ceramics.
Within the Art Deco style Villa Mozart, Serapian revealed its latest collection. In an unprecedented collaboration, Chiso, Japan’s oldest kimono maker, contributes three exclusive “Oneiric Flowers” designs. These fantastical blooms, a blend of Italian and Japanese floral artistry, decorate the silk linings of bags and a standout foulard. A master painter from Chiso brought this art to life, showcasing his skills during the presentation, with these unique silk designs reserved for a limited-edition bag collection for the Tokyo store and available for made-to-order commissions globally.
Transforming Villa Mozart for this event, artist Satoshi Kawamoto draws inspiration from the villa’s garden to create installations that merge Italian and Japanese flor. This cross-cultural theme is further accentuated by Rossana Orlandi, who displays contemporary design pieces inspired by Japan, and a Milanese design studio’s origami-inspired display plinths.
Among the novelties of the Serapian Fall Winter 2024 collection is the Anì Bag, a tribute to the heritage and future of Serapian, alongside new dégradé Mosaico tones and a development of the Mosaico technique incorporating a mix of luxurious materials. See the collection in the Gallery below:
