It looks like Nike and .SWOOSH are blurring the lines between digital and physical with their latest Air Force 1 Low “404 Error” edition. This collaboration uses the universally recognized blue screen error message to play with the sneaker narrative and design. The choice of vibrant Racer Blue patent for the upper, devoid of seams and emphasizing a minimalist design that also mimics the aesthetics of shoes in video games and cartoons, is a bold step away from the Air Force 1 Low’s traditional look.

The design details include the “404 Error” message on the heel and the tech-inspired touches on the insoles and packaging. “404 Error, the requested upper was not found. Try again.” is a word play on the popular web error code, here used to indicate the ‘digitally’ missing part of the familiar silhouette as well as the nature of this collaboration with .SWOOSH, which is predominantly a part of virtual culture.
The launch is expected to happen this summer, but the official dates are still unknown, as well as the exclusivity of the sneaker. Take a closer look at the glitched sneaker in the Gallery below:
this blue color I absolutely hate it honestly I have not seen a birth design come out of Nike in years and sadly I think a lot of people will buy this sneaker while Nike it won’t be me 😅😅😅
