In the interview with Time Magazine, Dua Lipa shared insights into her strategic approach to life and career, emphasizing the importance of jotting down goals and believing in the power of manifestation. “I’ve always planned ahead,” Lipa explains. “Although surprises arise that I evaluate in the moment, there’s always a long-term goal.”
Known for her thoughtful nature and her former modeling career, Lipa advocates for the simple act of writing things down as a pathway to realizing dreams. Her belief in manifestation is strong; she credits it with helping subconsciously steer her efforts towards achieving seemingly unattainable goals.
In addition to music, Lipa has recently ventured into acting, with a role as a Bond-esque villain in the spy thriller “Argylle.” She relishes the opportunity to adopt new personas, whether on set or at a photo shoot, which allows her to explore different parts of her personality.
Lipa is also deeply connected to her roots in Kosovo and Albania, expressing excitement over Kosovo’s recent visa liberalization which enables its young population to travel freely across Europe. She is determined to reshape Western perceptions of her home countries and promote them in a positive light. Together with her father, she organizes a festival in Pristina aimed at drawing international attention and showcasing the real Kosovo, far from its war-torn image.
Currently, Lipa is focused on releasing her third album, which has been in the conceptual phase since her first album’s creation. She dreams of collaborations with artists like Kevin Parker from Tame Impala, aiming to blend her music with the styles of icons like Primal Scream and Massive Attack. This new project promises to reveal a matured sound reflective of her personal and artistic growth.
