Song for the Mute, in collaboration with adidas, is set to re-release the iconic ‘Honeycomb’ colorway from their first ‘SFTM-001′ series on June 20th, 2024. This re-release also introduces a brand new colorway, ‘Triple Black’. The ‘Honeycomb’, known for its organic hues and fine textural contrasts, reflects the aesthetic foundation of Song for the Mute’s mainline collections.

The introduction of the ‘Triple Black’ colorway adds a fresh chapter to the Shadowturf series. Specifically tailored by Song for the Mute for this release, the ‘Triple Black’ maintains the silhouette’s original features like the tonal upper mesh detailing, contrasting adidas three-stripes, and reflective elements that enhance visibility. However, it also incorporates new details such as signature zig-zag stitching and collaborative handwritten branding, which are subtly integrated into the shoe’s design.
The campaign for these releases is captured by photographer Atsushi ‘Jima’ Nishijima and styled by Stephen Mann, who reunite after their previous collaborations. Their latest campaign stays true to their hallmark style of capturing unscripted, organic moments. By focusing on in-between moments of off-duty models on film sets, they highlight the casual elegance and unscripted beauty of the footwear.
Both the ‘Honeycomb’ and ‘Triple Black’ will be available globally, launching first on Song for the Mute’s official website and then at selected stockists the following day. Take a closer look at the adidas x Song for the Mute Triple Black Shadowturf sneaker in the Gallery below:
