Casablanca Paris, under the creative vision of Charaf Tajer, presents its FW 24 campaign film starring Alex Consani and Georgia Palmer among others, in love with the legacy of ancient Greece. The collection draws from the wellspring of Greek discoveries, creations, and teachings, emphasizing their impact on modern aesthetics and thought. Tajer merges the classical ideals of beauty with contemporary design, creating a visual and thematic dialogue that spans millennia. This blend is captured in the campaign video, where a journey through time and space unfolds, drawing parallels between the epic voyages of Homer and the futuristic visions of Stanley Kubrick.
The campaign’s narrative goes through various epochs, interpreting Grecian myths while propelling viewers into a realm of imagination. The influence of Eleusis, the ancient site known for its sacred rituals and mind-expanding practices, is palpable throughout. Tajer’s designs for this collection channel the mystical and transformative energy of Eleusinian pilgrimages. Models are posed like Grecian deities and Olympian figures, traversing landscapes that shift from the familiar streets of Athens to ethereal staircases, heavenly clouds, and swirling galaxies.
This creative team, led by Charaf Tajer, brought together this video captured by photographer Corentin Leroux and director Frederic De Pontcharra. The styling was executed by Helena Tejedor, while Karim Belghiran‘s hair artistry and Stephanie Kunz‘s makeup skills elevated the looks. The video featured an eclectic cast of models—Adam Castellano, Mamour Majeng, Georgia Palmer, Mary Ukech, Alex Consani, Rolf, and Tida Rosvall.
Music plays a pivotal role in enhancing the campaign’s narrative, as Tajer collaborates with director Frédéric de Pontcharra to blend a variety of musical influences. The soundtrack includes echoes of iconic ‘90s music videos and is anchored by the haunting melody of Björk’s “Venus As A Boy,” a fitting tribute to the collection’s thematic core.
