Grace Ling ’s SS25 collection is an exploration of primitive human connections with objects, reinterpreted for the modern world. The designs, a mixture of ready-to-wear and couture, emerged on the runway looking as though they had been overtaken by nature’s elements—scorched, torn, and windswept. This dark romanticism runs through the collection, providing a striking juxtaposition to the brand’s hallmark details, tailoring, and innovative knitwear. Each piece carries the essence of the brand while simultaneously pushing the boundaries of modern fashion with surrealist metal sculptures.

A standout moment on the runway was the debut of the Grace Ling x Humane HANDAXE BAG. This collaboration takes inspiration from the first tools crafted by our stone-age ancestors, blending primal simplicity with a sleek, modern design. The bag serves as a striking symbol of the evolution of tools, combining technology with personal expression. Alongside this, the Ai Pin, designed to seamlessly integrate into everyday life, represents another nod to this idea of evolving tools, marrying functionality with artistic design.
The collection was further elevated through a collaboration with fellow woman-owned brand Gotham. Gotham introduced the element of fire to the runway, with their scorched joint bouquet adding a raw, organic touch to the presentation. This partnership brought a visceral sense of nature to the show, complementing the rugged yet refined nature of Ling’s pieces. Model Meredith Duxbury, a standout of the season, carried the playful BUTT BAG, stashed with pre-rolls.
Grace Ling’s designs have always been rooted in the interplay between formality, sensuality, and innovative technology. Born in Singapore and currently based in New York, Ling brings a global perspective to her work, informed by her studies at Parsons School of Design and Central Saint Martins. Since launching her label in 2020, she has quickly gained recognition for her eccentric yet elegant approach to fashion. Her metal and sculptural designs have attracted a star-studded following, including the likes of Jennifer Lopez, FKA Twigs, and Kylie Jenner, making her a rising star in the fashion world.
This collection continues Ling’s ongoing exploration of form, function, and the integration of modern technology in fashion. The inclusion of 3D-printed metalwork and sculptural elements speaks to the designer’s continued push towards creating pieces that feel both futuristic and grounded in the human experience. Her ability to marry artistic expression with wearable pieces sets her apart from many of her contemporaries, allowing her to carve out a unique niche in the fashion industry.
