We are proud to announce the DSCENE Magazine Design Issue “Line, Form, Space” special limited edition cover in collaboration with the innovative brand Heliot Emil. This groundbreaking cover, envisioned by Creative Director Julius Juul and developed by both the DSCENE and Heliot Emil teams, is printed on thermochromic paper that changes color when exposed to heat.
LIMITED COPIES – ORDER IN PRINT
Initially appearing black, the cover transforms when touched, heated, or exposed to sunlight, revealing a stunning image of Julius Juul. Once it cools down, the cover gradually returns to its original black state, creating an interactive and dynamic experience.
Heliot Emil, a brand that has redefined the boundaries of fashion, stands out with its unique blend of industrial elegance and conceptual design. Founded by brothers Julius and Victor Juul, Heliot Emil is known for creating immersive experiences that extend beyond traditional fashion, incorporating elements of furniture, installations, and soundscapes to offer a holistic, forward-thinking vision.
In conjunction with this release, DSCENE Magazine Editors Katarina Doric and Zarko Davinic sat down with Julius Juul for an in-depth interview, exploring the origins of Heliot Emil, the brand’s innovative approach to design, and the role of technology and sustainability in its ongoing narrative.

As Julius explains, “We’ve always believed in creating a universe where the clothes are just one component, rather than just making pieces of clothing and then adding something later.” This interview will be out later this week, offering more insights into the creative mind behind Heliot Emil.
The DSCENE Design Issue special cover is available in limited quantities through the DSCENE webshop, with availability on Heliot Emil’s website coming soon. Be sure to grab your copy of this exclusive collector’s item, and stay tuned for the full interview with Julius Juul.
