Reebok has announced an extended partnership with Angel Reese, the WNBA All-Star and LSU national champion, reinforcing the collaboration that began in 2023. As part of the renewed deal, Reese will release a signature sneaker in 2026, becoming just the second WNBA player to have a signature shoe with the brand.
Reese shared her excitement during an episode of Unapologetically Angel, her podcast where she spoke with Shaquille O’Neal, the President of Reebok Basketball and her mentor. “A signature shoe has always been a dream of mine, and I want all the young girls out there to remember that anything is possible,” Reese said. She added that the design process has already begun, with Reebok providing full support.
The announcement comes as Reebok continues to build its basketball division with new talent. Recent signings include Dink Pate, the youngest professional basketball player in U.S. history, along with top NIL prospect Nate Amentt and Chicago Bulls rookie Matas Buzelis. Together with Reese and WNBA veteran Lexie Brown, these athletes reflect Reebok’s push to foster a new generation of basketball stars.
In 2023, Reese made history as Reebok’s first major NIL signing under the leadership of Shaquille O’Neal. This collaboration was part of the brand’s larger strategy to connect performance with cultural relevance. Reese’s magnetic presence and bold style resonated with Reebok’s mission to reclaim its space in both the sports world and lifestyle markets.
By August 2024, Reese’s first Reebok collaboration launched, delivering footwear and apparel that embodied her dynamic personality. The collection emphasized her expressive style and versatility, with designs that captured her fearless spirit. During the same month, Reese unveiled the “Engine A,” Reebok’s first new performance basketball shoe in over a decade, slated for release in 2025.
Jide Osifeso, Head of Reebok Basketball, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership’s future direction. “Reebok and Angel are growing together every day, and our visions for the future are aligned,” Osifeso shared.
