On December 7, 2024, the Lot 11 Skatepark in Miami, Florida, set the stage for the third annual Abloh Invitational—a vibrant, daylong celebration of skateboarding, community, and creative culture presented by Virgil Abloh Securities and Architecture. This year’s event soared to new heights through a dynamic partnership with Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack, whose forward-thinking aesthetic infused the day with a boundary-pushing energy.
Throughout the park, Cactus Jack’s distinctive vision permeated the atmosphere, from custom-designed skate elements to an array of co-branded merchandise developed alongside Architecture. Their imprint was felt everywhere, seamlessly blending art, fashion, music, and sport into a cohesive cultural moment.
Attendees were invited to immerse themselves in a range of participatory experiences, from free skate lessons and screenprinting workshops to a signature demo featuring top professional skateboarders from across the country. The day culminated in an open skate session, all set to the soundtrack of DJ DZA.
Legends of skate culture lent their influence to the Invitational, with iconic photographer Atiba Jefferson capturing the day’s defining moments. Architecture’s skate director Davonte Jolly recorded the action as the event’s official filmer, and designer Jonathan Olivares’ contributions added fresh creative perspectives. Supreme’s presence as a supporting sponsor underscored the event’s cultural gravitas.
After sunset, the celebration continued at Gramps Getaway with an afterparty. DJ sets by Atiba and Ako Jefferson (The Blackouts), DZA, and Pedro Cavaliere carried the momentum of the day into the night, rounding out an unforgettable moment in the ongoing legacy of the Abloh Invitational.
