Our Legacy’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection, titled ’AULA,’ explores the interplay between identity and context. This latest release explores how personal style and environment shape one’s perceived persona, creating a conversation between casual ease and formal precision. By examining these shifts, the collection speaks to the fluidity of modern identities and the role of clothing as a transformative medium.

The presentation of ’AULA’ is a visual narrative of duality, with each model styled in two dramatically contrasting looks. This approach makes the individuals almost unrecognizable from one outfit to the next. The use of wigs, bold hairstyles, and experimental makeup further blurs the lines of identity, suggesting a form of sartorial role-playing that allows wearers to step into alternate personas.
Central to this theme is the transformation of familiar garment archetypes. Sportswear staples, like track suits, are reimagined as tailored uniform-like pieces crafted from high-twist twill. Standouts include the structured Casino Jacket and Ponte Shorts, which combine athletic ease with a sense of formality. Similarly, classic tuxedo silhouettes, such as the Supper Coat, are rendered in textured ash grey melton fabric, breaking free from traditional notions of eveningwear. Through these innovative designs, ’AULA’ redefines how garments can transcend their original contexts to create entirely new forms of expression.
The collection’s conceptual narrative extends beyond clothing to the metaphor of traditional tobacco stores. Once synonymous with luxurious cigars, these spaces have adapted to contemporary demands, now serving as parcel hubs. This evolution is mirrored in ’AULA’s palette, which draws from the rich, atmospheric tones of tobacco shops. Deep browns, ash greys, muted greens, and earthy hues evoke the sensory experience of smoke, leather, and aged wood. Hints of yellow, reminiscent of smoke-stained fabrics, add depth and character to the collection’s color story.
For Creative Director Cristopher Nying, these shifts are deeply personal and reflective of his own observations. “The way our surroundings influence the personas we adopt has always intrigued me,” Nying explains. “I picture a tobacconist who’s ordinary and practical during the day, transforming into someone vibrant and expressive at night. It’s a phenomenon I’ve encountered myself, like running into an old hockey teammate in the park, playing with his kids, and not even recognizing him at first. Environment and context can make someone feel entirely different until it all clicks.”
By embracing duality and adapting traditional styles to new contexts, ’AULA’ invites wearers to navigate the shifting boundaries of who they are, who they appear to be, and who they aspire to become.
