Études Studio is proud to introduce its latest collection, No.26, named “Peinture Fraîche.” This Fall-Winter 25.26 collection draws inspiration from the daily life and attire of painters, studying the intimate relationship between artists and their clothing. The collection emerges as a celebration of the artist’s functional yet expressive wardrobe, exploring the forms, attitudes, and colors typically associated with painters’ gear.

For this collection, Études Studio collaborates with renowned French artist Claire Tabouret, integrating her artistic vision directly into the fabric of the collection. Together, they have crafted a series of ten unique pieces that not only draw inspiration from two of Tabouret’s self-portraits and a landscape but also carry her distinct mark of layered textures and vibrant color palettes. This partnership extends Tabouret’s pictorial universe into the fashion sphere, offering wearables that are as much art pieces as they are part of a functional wardrobe.
The design ethos of “Peinture Fraîche” reflects a serene yet complex understanding of the artist’s studio space, as a place of creative chaos and comfort. The collection features wide, airy striped shirts, hybrid-cut trousers, and an array of knits, from thick wool sweaters to cozy accessories like beanies and scarves.
In terms of texture and corporeality, the collection emphasizes tactile sensations that evoke the physicality of the painting process. Elements such as splatters and prints mimic the accidental marks of paint on a studio apron, enhancing the garments’ authenticity and connection to the artist’s active engagement. The collection’s color scheme remains grounded in earthy tones, with splashes of ochre, orange, and vermilion, mirroring a painter’s palette.
The standout piece of the collection is the brand’s reinterpreted bomber jacket, now available in hooded versions crafted from quilted jersey and nylon. These pieces are designed with generous volumes and practical details like double-flap pockets, marrying functionality with a refined aesthetic. Complementing the collection is a special messenger bag by FREITAG, known for its sustainable approach using upcycled materials. This accessory embodies the collection’s ethos in both function and style.
Études Studio’s No.26 “Peinture Fraîche” is a cultural commentary on the role of manual art in an era dominated by digital imagery. By incorporating elements of traditional painting into modern apparel, Études Studio not only honors the craft of painting but also highlights the enduring relevance of artistic expression in contemporary fashion. This collection invites wearers and viewers alike to reflect on the significance of the handmade and the personal touch in art and attire.
