The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has unveiled the preliminary Official New York Fashion Week (NYFW) Schedule for the fall-winter 2025 season, setting the stage for an exciting week of runway shows and presentations. The season will begin on Thursday, February 6, with Brandon Maxwell’s highly anticipated show. The week will close on Tuesday, February 11, with a presentation by CFDA Chairman Thom Browne, marking the end of an exciting season for designers, brands, and audiences.

The preliminary schedule is packed with more than 54 runway shows and designer presentations, offering an impressive variety of talent. In addition to the in-person events, several collections will also be presented digitally and by appointment, expanding the reach and inclusivity of the event. The diverse mix of brands and designers ensures that this season will be as dynamic and innovative as ever, showcasing a wide range of styles, aesthetics, and cultural perspectives in the fashion world.

Among the returning brands are some of the most renowned names in American fashion, including 5000, Anna Sui, Carolina Herrera, Christian Siriano, Coach, Khaite, Monse, Prabal Gurung, Tory Burch, Ulla Johnson, and more. Each of these designers brings their signature style to the runway, continuing to push boundaries in both design and presentation. New faces in the fashion world will also have their moment to shine, with designers like Alexis Bittar, Gabe Gordon, LEBLANCSTUDIOS by Yamil Arbaje, and Zoe Gustavia Anna Whalen making their debut appearances during NYFW.
The addition of first-time participants highlights the growing diversity and inclusivity of NYFW. For example, GQ and Emily Adams Bode Aujla will debut the 2025 BODE REC collection at the GQ Bowl in New Orleans, a livestream red carpet event featuring both men’s and women’s looks worn by models, athletes, and other notable figures. This addition reflects the industry’s shift towards reaching new audiences through both traditional shows and innovative, digital-first events.
In its ongoing efforts to support international press and media engagement, the CFDA has continued to grow the CFDA NYFW Travel Fund, which was established in 2022. Now in its sixth season, the fund has provided financial and in-kind support to nearly 44 international editors, fostering connections between global stakeholders and the American designer community. This initiative has helped raise awareness about the cultural, artistic, and economic impact of NYFW, ensuring its global relevance and importance.
As CFDA’s Director of Fashion Week Initiatives, Joseph Maglieri, noted, “NYFW serves as the premier opportunity for designers and brands to tell their story and share their work in the ways that speak to their communities and business needs. This upcoming season represents themes we see across the industry: calibration and innovation.” The CFDA’s continued leadership in organizing and shaping NYFW is an example of the organization’s commitment to supporting designers while ensuring that the event remains an essential platform for fashion’s future.
