BIMBA Y LOLA has teamed up with RETROSUPERFUTURE to launch a limited-edition eyewear collection, available worldwide from March 20th, 2025. The collaboration revisits key frames from RETROSUPERFUTURE’s early years, offering a nostalgic nod to the mid-2000s while staying in sync with today’s mood. This partnership dives into RETROSUPERFUTURE’s archives, originally launched by Daniel Beckerman in 2007, and reintroduces silhouettes that defined an era of spontaneous fashion and vibrant expression.
EYEWEAR
During the final pulse of Britpop and the rise of festival culture, RETROSUPERFUTURE became the eyewear of choice across Europe. Its bold use of acetate in unexpected colors turned heads at summer events and late-night parties, with figures like Poppy Delevingne and the Geldof sisters sparking a wave of style inspiration. Fast-forward to 2025, and BIMBA Y LOLA brings those same silhouettes back into the spotlight, tapping into the nostalgia of early smartphone-era fashion while tailoring the collection for a new generation.

The BIMBA Y LOLA BY RSF lineup reintroduces RETROSUPERFUTURE’s iconic square frame in a range of colorways, classic black and tortoiseshell, vibrant mustard yellow, and a crisp white with sky-blue lenses. Another standout features a low-bridge shape paired with violet-tinted lenses and warm-hued acetate, including rich amber tones. Each model carries a certain familiarity, while still offering enough character to refresh any look.
To match the energy of the frames, BIMBA Y LOLA has created a campaign that feels as spontaneous as the designs themselves. Shot on the streets of London, the visuals follow three rising British talents: Anaïs Gallagher, Ruby Sear, and Izzy Bear. Gallagher, daughter of musician Noel Gallagher, balances her work as a model, TV presenter, and Teen Vogue columnist. Ruby Sear, both an actress and painter, gained attention for her role in The Gentlemen, the Netflix series by Guy Ritchie. Joining them is Grammy-nominated singer Izzy Bear, whose voice and presence complete the campaign’s trio with ease.

Together, the three talents wander through familiar London neighborhoods, sunglasses on and energy high, offering a candid portrait of the city’s current creative wave. Their off-duty ease and confident styling reflect a time when fashion felt more immediate, caught between photo booth snapshots and flip phone selfies. In this spirit, the collection doesn’t try too hard. It slips naturally into a look and adds personality, even on a cloudy day.

BIMBA Y LOLA and RETROSUPERFUTURE manage to revive a specific moment without turning it into a costume. The collection feels just as natural in a present-day wardrobe as it did in the early 2000s, offering frames that fit right into festival season, city errands, or a long-haul flight. It’s that ease and spontaneity that give the collaboration its energy, familiar, fun, and just the right amount of retro.

The BIMBA Y LOLA BY RSF collection is now available in select stores and online.
