Jordan Brand has introduced the Luka 4, the latest addition to Luka Dončić’s signature sneaker line. Designed for speed, control, and agility, the new model refines previous innovations while introducing fresh elements tailored to the guard’s unique playstyle. Set to release globally on April 8, the Luka 4 will launch alongside the Luka .77, a sneaker built specifically for outdoor basketball.
Evolving Performance with the Luka 4
Luka Dončić’s ability to break down defenses, create space, and execute precision footwork has shaped the engineering behind his latest signature shoe. The Luka 4 retains Jordan Brand’s IsoPlate technology, a key feature of his footwear line that enhances stability and torsional rigidity, keeping players secure during sharp cuts and sudden changes in direction.
A major update for this iteration is the addition of Nike Zoom Air, marking the first time Luka’s signature series has incorporated this responsive cushioning system. This unit works in tandem with a Cushlon 3.0 midsole, delivering a softer underfoot feel while maintaining court responsiveness. The upper integrates Flightwire cables on the lateral side – a nod to the original Luka 1 – providing lightweight containment without restricting movement.

Luka himself spoke about the impact of these features on his game – “The Luka 4 is made exactly for my game, giving me a new tool to help me play my best and push my performance. The IsoPlate really helps me with my balance and my step-backs, the Zoom Air unit adds a new level of responsiveness, and the Cushlon 3.0 midsole makes this a very comfortable shoe.”
Another standout detail is the compass-inspired outsole, which replaces traditional directional markers with Luka’s name, a reference to his love of wristwatches and the precision they represent.

Colorways Inspired by Luka’s Off-Court Passions
The Luka 4 will debut in several themed colorways, each drawing inspiration from personal aspects of Luka’s life. The Navigate edition pays tribute to Lake Bled in Slovenia, a location that holds special significance for the player. This version will be released only in select regions. Meanwhile, the Gone Fishing colorway taps into Luka’s love for being out on the water, capturing the essence of boating and relaxation.
In addition to footwear, Jordan Brand is releasing an apparel collection aligned with the Gone Fishing theme. The lineup includes a hoodie, T-shirt, and shorts, offering fans a way to connect with Luka’s personality beyond the court.
Luka explained the connection between basketball and his favorite pastime – “My favorite thing to do in the offseason is to get out on the boat and go fishing, which I’ve been doing since I was young. I love the peace and the space of the ocean, driving the boat and getting some sun. Just like basketball, fishing teaches me patience – and helps me relax and prepare for the next season.”

Introducing the Luka .77: A Shoe Built for Outdoor Play
Alongside the Luka 4, Jordan Brand is launching the Luka .77, a sneaker designed specifically for outdoor basketball. The shoe draws inspiration from Luka’s early days playing on Slovenia’s concrete courts, where durability was just as important as performance.
To withstand the demands of outdoor play, the Luka .77 features a full-length rubber outsole, high-abrasion mesh for breathability, and a dual-density foam midsole that combines a firmer outer layer with a softer, more responsive interior. Seven cutouts in the heel provide additional cushioning, helping to absorb impact during landings.

Jordan Brand has also carried over the IsoPlate system, ensuring that players still get the lateral stability they need for quick movements on rougher surfaces. Luka wanted this shoe to serve younger players who primarily play outside, creating an option that can withstand the conditions of streetball without sacrificing performance.
“The Luka .77 is for the kids – and for anyone who hoops outdoors. When I was young, I used to play mostly outside but didn’t have footwear made for that environment, so I wanted to make a shoe for the next generation, giving them a tool to help them develop their game wherever they lace up.” – Luka explained.
