adidas Originals continues its collaboration with Bad Bunny, introducing two fresh takes on the recently launched Ballerina silhouette. Following the debut of the bright yellow version, the design now arrives in Core Black and Off White colorways. Both iterations are set for global release on April 12, 2025, and retail for $120.
Designed with an emphasis on form and motion, the Ballerina silhouette references adidas’ Taekwondo model from the early 2000s. Originally developed for martial artists, the shoe’s roots in performance footwear carry through in this new model. Bad Bunny’s interpretation shifts the design toward a lifestyle direction, while preserving its precision-built structure.

The upper features a combination of soft suede overlays at the toe and heel, paired with a low-profile shape that keeps the sneaker visually agile. A system of bungee-cord laces offers a snug fit without traditional eyelets, nodding to utility aesthetics while enhancing wearability. A special sizing tag pays homage to earlier adidas x Bad Bunny projects, anchoring the model within their shared design history.
Branding is handled with subtlety. Near the signature Three Stripes, a “Benito” inscription appears in reference to the artist’s given name, reinforcing the personal imprint across the collection. The outsole retains the grip and shape inspired by martial arts sneakers, creating a link between the shoe’s past and its new cultural context.

The campaign supporting the release draws from Puerto Rican music and movement traditions. Visuals spotlight scenes inspired by salsa and social dance, a reflection of Bad Bunny’s connection to rhythm and motion through his performances. The Ballerina silhouette continues to evolve in step with the artist’s creative trajectory, marking a shift in style while keeping roots visible.
Both Core Black and Off White versions will be available via the CONFIRMED App, adidas.com/badbunny, and select adidas retail partners. With this release, the Ballerina series grows into a more versatile option in Bad Bunny’s ongoing footwear partnership with adidas Originals.
