Versace has unveiled its Spring-Summer 2025 Eyewear campaign, fronted by Chinese actress Rosy Zhao, who brings a cinematic elegance to the brand’s latest collection. Marking her return to fashion after a year of recovery, Zhao wears three key styles from the collection: the Signature Low-Bridge Optical Frames, Signature Low-Bridge Sunglasses, and the Signature Cat-Eye Sunglasses. Shot in dimly lit, stylized settings, the campaign captures a cool intimacy that feels both classic and future-facing, true to Versace’s codes.
EYEWEAR
Known for her standout performances in dramas like The Romance of Tiger and Rose and Love Like the Galaxy, Zhao’s on-screen presence translates to her work in fashion. Her expressive gaze and refined posture elevate the eyewear pieces, whether it’s the structured boldness of the cat-eye frames or the intellectual appeal of the square opticals. The Signature Low-Bridge styles are tailored for comfort, especially suited for Asian facial features, but in Versace’s hands, functionality never sacrifices style.

Noir Mood Meets Versace Edge
The campaign plays with texture and light. In one frame, Zhao wears a crimson satin gown with embroidered florals, her face framed by thick-rimmed glasses that spell quiet confidence. In another, she leans out of a vintage car window wearing sculptural cat-eye shades and a lavender beaded top, embodying a kind of 1970s noir muse with a modern gloss.

Zhao’s appointment as Global Brand Ambassador in 2023 was met with praise from Donatella Versace, who described her as “a powerful Versace woman.” Since then, Zhao has not only fronted campaigns but also made appearances on major red carpets and global fashion events, including the Vogue Gala.
Zhao’s recent appearance at a public charity event in January and her resumed volunteering work in February signaled a slow but steady comeback. This campaign, however, feels like her re-entry into the cultural conversation at full force, wrapped in the glamour that only Versace can deliver.
