The sacai x Nike collaboration returns with a new sneaker that focuses on design precision and performance-driven features. The Zegamadome, first seen during sacai’s Spring Summer 2025 runway presentation, drops on May 9 in three sharply defined colorways. With this release, sacai extends its approach to footwear by pushing exaggerated form, layered construction, and trail-informed elements into a new silhouette.

The collaboration lands exclusively in Japan, available through sacai’s online and in-person raffle system. The sneaker arrives in “Matte Silver/Tour Yellow-Black,” “Black/Anthracite-Black,” and “Summit White/White-White,” each bringing a distinct visual identity to the same sculpted base.

At a glance, the Zegamadome channels the bulk and utility of a work boot while layering in sacai’s experimental approach to proportions. Oversized features anchor the sneaker’s silhouette, from a pronounced heel bumper to extended eyestay panels and a multifaceted lacing system that builds structure across the upper.
The shoe draws from a combination of materials to achieve its layered effect. Panels of suede, rubber, and technical fabric wrap the foot, giving dimension and depth to the design. The rugged upper sits atop a Vibram sole that pushes the sneaker toward outdoor performance territory. Beneath it all, Nike’s ZoomX cushioning ensures the shoe doesn’t lose comfort in pursuit of form.

Sacai leads the release with a multicolor edition that brings industrial and high-vis tones into a single layout. The “Matte Silver/Tour Yellow-Black” version places gray and black across the base, then punctuates the palette with Tour Yellow details that give the sneaker an edge rooted in utility.
The “Summit White” model leans more neutral, building its presence through texture and tonal contrast. White textile sections play against titanium white leather and beige suede overlays, while natural rubber hits reinforce the grounded, outdoor-ready nature of the design.

The most minimal in appearance, the “Black/Anthracite” version strips the sneaker back to a near-monochrome format. Its surfaces balance texture and finish, using contrast between matte and slight gloss to define its lines. A white midsole offers the only break in color, creating a strong base for the upper’s complex structure.
Rather than smooth, uninterrupted lines, sacai opted for volume and structure. The sneaker looks deliberate in its complexity, with overlapping layers and hard contours. The extended eyestay panels fold over the lacing system, reinforcing the industrial influence and adding dimensionality.

The Vibram outsole gives the sneaker added grip, referencing trail footwear without mimicking it. The underfoot structure supports the layered upper by offering stability and traction across uneven surfaces. Meanwhile, Nike’s ZoomX tech adds a lightweight cushioning system that counters the shoe’s heft with responsive comfort.
The sacai x Nike Zegamadome will release May 9 through sacai’s Japan-only raffle, both online and in-store. With its design built around oversized construction and layered materials, the Zegamadome stands out as one of the more sculptural entries in sacai’s ongoing partnership with Nike.
