SKIMS has officially touched down in Los Angeles with the opening of its first flagship store on Sunset Boulevard. Designed by Rafael de Cárdenas, Ltd., the 4,546-square-foot space brings the brand’s signature curves and neutral tones to West Hollywood. But the opening isn’t just about sleek interiors and exclusive drops. SKIMS is marking the occasion with a playful nod to LA’s diner culture.

From April 2nd to 6th, the brand is taking over Mel’s Drive-In just down the block, transforming it into SKIMS Drive-In. The limited-time pop-up offers a reimagined dining experience complete with a custom menu, a photo booth, and subtle SKIMS touches throughout. Customers shopping at the new store will receive priority access, because who wouldn’t want a milkshake after buying a bodysuit?

The store itself is an architectural statement, combining soft materials like Corian and ultrasuede with dramatic lighting and a towering 12-foot Vanessa Beecroft sculpture at the entrance. Inside, customers can shop the full SKIMS range, including shapewear, loungewear, and underwear for both women and men, as well as limited releases like the NikeSKIMS collection and a ‘SKIMS loves LA’ capsule, with proceeds supporting the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation.

For co-founder Kim Kardashian, the LA opening is a personal milestone. “Opening a SKIMS store in Los Angeles is a full-circle moment,” she said. “This city has been a huge part of my life.” CEO Jens Grede echoed the sentiment, calling the location a natural next step for the brand.
Whether you’re there for the sculpting bras or the burgers, SKIMS’ Los Angeles flagship is giving Sunset Boulevard a fresh look, and a little extra stretch.
