ABALLE launches its first timepiece, Horologium Spinale, a collaborative work between artist Snuffy and fashion-tech brand 9dcc. The design introduces a hand-crafted vertebrae bracelet made of sterling silver, paired with an authenticated vintage Rolex Datejust. Only a select number of buyers on the invite-only waitlist will have access to purchase the $17,250 edition.
WATCHES
Snuffy shaped the concept by drawing from his childhood experiences inside his father’s surgical office. Surrounded by x-rays, anatomical models, and old surgical tools, he absorbed the language of the human body as both function and metaphor. ABALLE reflects this history. A skeleton holds a watch. Time sits in the grip of something already expired. The design plays with this image, offering a meditation on what outlasts us.

The ABALLE bracelet mimics the human spine with a series of sculpted vertebrae that taper and curve toward the Rolex dial. Jewelers designed the piece to mirror the spine’s rhythm, using raw, unpolished sterling silver to reflect the natural surface of bone. Each bracelet develops a patina with wear, building character through use.

The clasp, made with a spring deployment mechanism, ensures secure wear while keeping comfort in focus. Each bracelet is tailored to the buyer’s wrist using a custom sizing tool provided in the physical order package. ABALLE builds each unit to spec, reinforcing the idea that time, like the body, should fit only one person.
The Rolex dials included in ABALLE go through a rigorous inspection by Kettle, a new standard in watch authentication. Known for using blockchain to preserve data across ownership lifecycles, Kettle brings credibility to every part of the project. The Kettle Standard includes a multi-step evaluation: video inspections by certified watchmakers, caseback and movement analysis, brand-correct verification, and detailed grading.

Each timepiece receives a Kettle Precision Index (KPI) score, which provides buyers with an exact assessment of the watch’s case, movement, dial, and parts. The score lives on-chain, attached to the watch’s permanent record. This system makes ownership transparent, not just at purchase, but for the future as well.
Buyers also receive an NFC-enabled Certificate of Authenticity, paired with a blockchain-backed identification card. Should the watch re-enter circulation, Kettle updates the data with each new inspection or owner.
The project brings together two creators operating at the edge of their disciplines. Snuffy, a multidisciplinary artist known for translating emotion through surrealism, crosses into wearable art with this edition. His work spans skin, sound, metal, and now, time. 9dcc, the first fashion brand built fully onchain, leads the manufacturing and experience side. Known for embedding NFC chips in its clothing and accessories, 9dcc builds each physical product to function in both digital and tactile settings. The brand’s founder, gmoney, created 9dcc to rethink how people interact with products.

Due to its limited production and bespoke format, ABALLE Horologium Spinale is only available through a waitlist application. Buyers must apply to secure a place in the queue. Selection prioritizes holders of Admit One, collectors of Snuffy’s previous works, and members of the 9dcc Network Points leaderboard.
Once selected, buyers complete wrist measurements, confirm payment, and enter the 4–8 week production window. Each order includes the bracelet, the authenticated Rolex, certificate and ID card, and a surgical-grade aluminum watch box.
