Fresh off teasing a collaborative project with Supreme, Spike Lee has reemerged at the center of fashion conversation, this time wrapped in high-gloss Stone Island. The award-winning director stars in the brand’s latest campaign, featuring the 4100065_MUSSOLA PRISMATICA “PIETRA” jacket, a standout outerwear piece priced at $1,855 USD.
CELEBS
The jacket, known for its distinctive sheen and sculptural structure, is made from superlight cotton muslin and coated in a water- and wind-resistant polyurethane film. This next-generation material, an evolution of Stone Island’s signature Mussola Prismatica textile, gains added depth through the application of a special resin and pigment dye. According to the brand, the uneven surface evokes the texture and tone of “the stone of the desert,” giving the coat its Pietra namesake, Italian for “stone.”

In true Stone Island form, technical innovation is embedded in every detail. The PIETRA coat includes a zipped patch chest pocket, under-arm vents for breathability, and adjustable snap cuffs for customizable wear. Functional elements take center stage with the inclusion of bellows-style hand pockets and a detachable panel featuring two additional cargo pockets, ideal for stashing gear on the go. The piece is finished with Stone Island’s signature removable badge at the sleeve, a staple for brand loyalists.

Spike Lee, no stranger to bold statements, brings additional edge to the campaign. Known for wearing everything from tailored suits to hyper-stylized outerwear, Lee’s presence underscores the PIETRA coat’s crossover appeal: part luxury fashion, part urban utility. With the PIETRA campaign, Stone Island continues its mission of pushing technical boundaries while expanding its cultural footprint. .
