SSENSE introduced the third chapter of its bridal capsule, expanding the category with Bridal 3.0. The new launch arrives on the heels of the platform’s earlier success with its first two bridal edits, the inaugural 2023 “anti-bridal” drop and 2024’s wide-reaching Bridal 2.0. This year, SSENSE returns with a lineup of over 100 items, offering an eclectic and personal approach to wedding dressing.

Bridal 3.0 continues to reshape expectations. The collection includes dresses, suits, accessories, and separates meant to support a variety of wedding formats, from courthouse vows to destination events. The curation speaks directly to SSENSE’s audience: those who treat fashion as a medium for personal expression, even on tradition-bound occasions.

Brigitte Chartrand, Vice President of Womenswear Buying and Everything Else at SSENSE, described the thinking behind this season’s approach. “After the warm receptions to our first two bridal capsules,” she noted, “we established SSENSE in the bridal space by presenting two capsules that pushed the boundary and offered a completely new take on wedding attire.”

For Bridal 3.0, Chartrand and her team focused on the individual bride, someone who doesn’t follow a dress code and who defines her own moments. “A bride can have as many main character moments as she wants on her day,” Chartrand explained. The editorial campaign reflects that vision, putting the bride at the center rather than framing her as part of a couple.

This season, SSENSE delivers a deeper and broader roster of designers. Returning names like Simone Rocha, Sandy Liang, Shushu/Tong, Super Yaya, Vivienne Westwood, and Vaquera continue to offer their offbeat takes on formalwear. Wed and Aaron Esh also come back for another round of bridal styling.

The platform also introduces several new names to the bridal conversation. Issey Miyake joins with an adaptation of its SS25 Eau Dress, marking the brand’s first appearance in the category. Colleen Allen presents standout pieces like the Asymmetric Velvet Shawl and Silk Bustle Skirt. Other newcomers include Du Ciel, Renaissance Renaissance, D’Heygere, High Sport, Roisin Pierce, and Lii.

Each designer brings a distinct language to the collection, some minimalist, others sculptural or conceptual, giving brides freedom to choose based on aesthetic rather than tradition.
The collection showcases unconventional silhouettes and stylings that feel fresh while still event-ready. Notable looks include Simone Rocha’s Carnation Balconette Dress and Vaquera’s white rework of its SS25 Pouf Bodysuit. Du Ciel’s Honeymoon Set pairs sheer underpinnings with a whimsical mini veil and garter. These pieces expand the visual vocabulary of bridal dressing without losing sight of the moment’s importance.

Whether worn for the ceremony, reception, afterparty, or honeymoon, each look encourages the wearer to approach her event with autonomy and ease. The variety also allows room for multiple outfits across different occasions, a growing trend in modern weddings.
Bridal 3.0 launched on April 14 via SSENSE.com and the mobile app, continuing the retailer’s commitment to a fully digital shopping experience. Alongside the capsule, SSENSE offers an additional Bridal Edit featuring pieces from existing designer collections, making it easier for users to build a full event wardrobe in one place.

Rather than restrict its offer to a singular look or traditional pathway, SSENSE keeps its approach wide and flexible. This direction supports brides who want to build a custom experience, whether that involves a dress, a suit, or something entirely unexpected.

this is so cool! Ssense has literally redefine what an ecommerce site is! Yet people trying to copy it always go in such a wrong direction! What also a good way to view Bridal!
